The Valora Kingdom was beautiful, but dangerous. Stormy wasn’t the type to shirk danger, however, especially not with Kazimir by her side. They had accepted a quest together which required them to kill way too many goddamn Farfetch’d in order to collect their leeks.[break][break]

The first 50 were easy because their drop rates were ridiculously high. Of course, the difficult part was the collection of the three large leeks. [break][break]

Which is precisely why Stormy had insisted the two of them locate another mob of Farfetch’d just outside the Kingdom of Valora. Drop rates in dangerous zones with the option of being killed by fellow players were significantly higher. Of course, significantly higher than 0.1% was still garbage, but it was at least a little bit less garbage.[break][break]

Stormy brandishes her wand for the 3,507th time that week, blasting the entire flock of Farfetch’d in front of her with one powerful blast of MYSTICAL FIRE. The flames eat up the feathers of the mob and they disintegrate. Once again, all she finds are more of the common leeks.[break][break]

She wipes sweat from her brow as she glances back at the giant tiger-man.[break][break]

“Any luck?”[break][break]

And then she sees it: one Farfetch’d in a whole crowd of at least 25-30 Farfetch’d. It’s a bit bigger than the rest and its leek seems just a bit taller. [break][break]

A blast of FREEZE-DRY extends from the tip of her wand, aiming to freeze the mob. As their feathers begin to crystalize and their bodies come to a standstill as they await certain death, Stormy hears something else charging right for them.

A city of steel, a new kingdom to explore and structures forged with the hardened material. That is the Valora kingdom. Their cold steel that served as the base of their structures seemed more beautiful with the light of the sun laying it. And amidst these sun rays, a form appeared.[break][break]

Enter the Manderville. A tall and sculpted figure, with hair and beard as white as snow. Sporting black boxers and a white tuxedo-like jacket, a gold hammer hooked to his side. The newly-arrived man looked around taking the sight in.[break][break]

Completely different from Hoenn. A new universe to explore. Finding a place to play this game was actually worth it. And the degree of realism from the graphics... Truly splendid. The man took the hammer in his hand and opened the menu, allowing him to select a quest in the vicinity.[break][break]

Hunting wild Farfetch’ds for their leaks, as well as 3 massive leaks... The Galarian versions perhaps? Nonetheless, it was worth exploring. Upon accepting this quest, the practically bottom-less individual marched forward.[break][break]

It didn’t take long to meet a horde. And god do they hurt. The man fought as best as he could, but he still took some damage due to the insane assault he has gone through. Now, only a sliver of his life remained, but he was still missing the one big leak to govern them all.[break][break]

Until he noticed an individual fighting further ahead. Facing another horde of creatures with her magic. Yet... it seemed like she was having a relatively hard time. Was it a good idea to let her alone? Not on a Manderville’s honor! Suddenly, the man’s clothes vanished, leaving him only in white short boxers and his hammer at his side. The man kneeled in a running position, ready to depart.[break][break]

”Accelerock”[break][break]

Thanks to the speed granted by the rock-type move, the man was crossing the distances at a speed he could’ve only experienced upon the back of a pokemon back in the Hoenn region. Now, it was by his own ability.[break][break]

Within a minute, the man passed by the healer and unsheathed(?) his hammer. The next instant, he was striking the farfetch’d to the sides as if they were mere pebbles. A simple strike from his weapon was seemingly sufficient to defeat them. Did that mage actually weaken them that much?[break][break]

As they were now defeated, only the biggest one remained. Manderville proceeded to bring the hammer to his side, putting both of his hands upon its Hilt and whispering a simple command. ”Dragon Hammer.”[break][break]

[break][break]

With his hammer overgrown by the power of a Warrior’s spirit, the man leapt forward, bringing down the hammer of justice upon the bird’s head, defeating it rapidly. As the hammer returned to normal proportions, only a giant leak remained. Manderville proceeded to grab it before looking back at the others. [break][break]

”Everything alright lads? It seemed like you were having issues with this horde.”

"how many. do we. have to. kill?!" with each breath he fisted the birds to death with a drill run powered spinning fist. at first their squawks of death were music to his ears but now he was pretty sure he was going to go deaf at this point. wasn't the idea of going to a place where their were more of them meant that their chances of finding the damn big leeks supposed to go up? what kind of unbalanced game was this shit? "no i haven't had any luck and i'm about to genocide these things!"

as he turned the last one into a rotissarie chicken he managed to head back to stormy's side in time to see her turn one into an ice sculpture. the tiger let out a whistle. "damn girl. your really good at that. you take care of that an then we wait-" before he could even finish his sentence something whizzed past them; a severly under dressed man of steel who grew his hammer to an enlarged size (as well as kaz's) and finished off the last of the mobs as he swung it down and shattered the sculpture revealing the precious giant leek inside.

the only sounds left were the sounds of shattered dreams and kazimir's heart beating like a motorboat as he gazed at the dude.

One hand extends in panic, distress, despair. Not today, satan.[break][break]

And yet she isn't fast enough to retaliate, only to stare in muted horror as her mob of Farfetch'd are mowed down like bowling pins. Some strange man wearing nothing but a pair of white boxers stands, his golden hammer returning to the size of a regular tool. He's holding the giant leek, the last fucking leek she needed.[break][break]

"God damnit!"[break][break]

Her shoulders slump and her head rolls back between them as she sighs heavily in exasperation. There's a fire in her eyes as she works to control herself, to prevent herself from literally imploding from absolute rage.[break][break]

"You're about to have an issue with me, you stupid prick!"[break][break]

And then she fires an intense blast of MYSTICAL FIRE at the scantily-clad man.[break][break]

As the man turned to stare at the two individuals he believed to have assisted, he was able to identify their features. One of them was tall, maybe even slightly taller then Manderville was. And was a literal muscle tiger. Orange fur covering most of his body with white highlights. If it wasn't because of the fur, surely his muscles would be considered almost bigger then Manderville's real life appearance.[break][break]

As for the lady, she was small, but had some... noticeable features, if one could say. Red hair with horns, golden eyes and an attire that worked well to display those features of hers. And she had a staff in her hands, so would that point to her being a mage? As the man slowly walked towards them, he noticed the lady raised her head and started insulting him and... It almost seemed like she was spitting fire as she said those words.[break][break]

That kind of temperament reminded him of someone in Hoenn. A friend he helped some times and whom had now graduated to the status of Elite four. "Wait, Stormy, is that yo-" As he had begun to inquire, flames erupted from her staff, eliminating the last sliver of Manderville's health bar. As the practically naked man fell on the ground, dropping the giant leak beside him, words appeared before his eyes.[break][break]

Luckily for Manderville, his respawning point was close by. As the man stood up in the streets of Valera, still wearing only his white boxers, he started to stretch. "If it's really her, damn that was rude. I'll have to get revenge somehow..." The man then began sprinting once more, powered by the move Accelerock and using a Switch Gear to allow him to reach the location faster. It would still take a bit of time, which would allow the duo to at least grab the leak from the leftover data.

kazimir was still starstruck at what he had just seen to really take notice of stormy literally fuming at having her kill stolen. it took a second for his brain to start working again as he held up his hands, "nah nah we were doing fine man. but we appre-" well he was going to say they felt appreciated even if it was just him, stormy on the other hand...didn't share the sentiment.

her sudden cursing and tantrum caught the large tiger man as he visibly jumped back a step at her explosion. and then she actually exploded the poor dude that kill stole from her in a blaze of rage induced glory. kaz just stood there with a blank expression on his face. fear and disbelief at what just happened causing his face muscles to experience error problems left and right.

"holy shit storms...don't...remind me to never piss you off." he could do nothing but just stare in horror at stormy. it wasn't until he noticed the leek that he slowly put distance between him and her by going over and picking it up. "um...at least we got what we needed? hehe...he..." seriously the terror was real and it was spreading.

Stormy's eyes widen in surprise as she hears the beginning of her name fall off his tongue. But she doesn't get to let him finish his thought, as he falls dead to the ground. There's a blink above her head, indicating she had leveled up. He had been just the last bit she'd needed to get her to the next level. [break][break]

But her thoughts are immediately distracted by the giant leek he had left behind. She lunges for it immediately only to see that Kazimir had gone for it first. As it disappears into his inventory, both of their quest objectives blink 'COMPLETED!' indicating them to hand in their quest.[break][break]

"What? Oh my.. no, Kaz. I would never --"[break][break]

Her expression of relief and excitement has quickly been replaced with worry as she struggles to rectify the situation between the two of them.[break][break]

"I was just... frustrated. We've been here like all week, Kaz, and this complete stranger just runs up and pretends as if he did us a favor. I definitely did not need his help, especially when he wasn't even in our party!"[break][break]

Try as she might though, she doubts that her explanation of the situation will rectify his image of her.[break][break]

It didn't take long for the man to return to the location of his death, thanks to the boost of speed granted by Accelerock. But this time, instead of surging in front of them, Manderville decided to do the more silent approach. The man hid between the many trees, observing and listening to the end of their conversation.[break][break]

Their conversation confirmed what Manderville thought: The mage was indeed stormy. As for the tiger going by the name Kaz... The almost naked man didn't know who he was. Maybe Stormy had found a new helper since she became Elite Four? Who knows. But now... Manderville needed to get revenge. But... What would be the most efficient way?[break][break]

An idea struck the fellow. An approach that would leave her speechless and most likely make her drop her guard. Time to test it out. Walking slowly but with a steady pace, the man approached the mage. "Is this any way to treat your sole Alolan friend, Stormy Silph? Consider my heart hurt by those actions of yours."[break][break]

As he got close to her, the man wrapped his hands around her, lifting her up and... Dropping a loving kiss on her lips. A kiss that lasted only seconds but might feel like it lasted longer for those involved. Following the kiss, Manderville looked at the mage, smiling peacefully. Until words were whispered to break the silence: "Dragon Hammer."[break][break]

the ears and tail of kazimir's avatar started to droop as stormy went on about how upset about some guy just showing up out of no where and acting like he was their friend only to kill steal from them while they were working so hard at this. right, how could he forget about that? he himself was a little miffed about this guy just putting a stop to the fun that was a real grinder of a quest but he followed the mantra of learn and let live in these kind of games. if something happens it happens.

"there there..." if there was one good thing he could do even as an apology for being scared of her all of a sudden it was pull her into a big warm fuzzy hug and pat her head. there was no way she could stay upset after one of those. "well we finished the quest so that's a plus. c'mon let's get outtaaa....what the." suddenly the hot and naked guy was back again! and if the game support cartoon logic then kaz's jaw would have dropped to the floor.

"dude...what the hell." was all the tiger could say. why was he back?! was he going to apologize or something? that's when the answer was made clear, he...knew stormy? not only did he know her somehow but he then swept her off her feet and into a kiss and a hug all in one. utter shock and unbridled jealousy surged through kazimir's body as he watched the display, what kind of weirdo was this guy?! as if to make things even more confusing he then moved in to fucking suplex her into a mess of pixels.

kaz stood there speechless as he watched the bar on stormy's health drop to zero and fade into black right in front of him trying to process what had just happened. the last few seconds played back in his head and as it did pieces began to fall into place on a puzzle that wasn't even acknowledged. the formal way the guy was talking, the fact that he was an alolan, his dramatic flair even for a video game, and his need to be nearly naked around people, there was only one man who did all that and get this pussy cat a little wet.

"balder?" kaz approached the man, the look of surprise on his face hiding the devilish thoughts and plans inside of his head. as much as a fan he was of the former gym leader and even if he respected him being a friend of stormy or something he just went up and killed her! he killed stormy! that bastard! that was something kaz couldn't forgive in the slightest. well, not in this game world anyway. "didn't think a fugitive like ya had time for games. didn't even know you and storms knew each other. small world ain't it."

he was close now to manderville. their bodies centimeters from touching one another one another and the face on kaz was one that of a friend who had something up their sleeve, especially with that toothy grin of his. "again. she might not appreciate the help but i do a little. hell i appreciate it more now that i know its you behind that, but its fucking dumb that you and her got all the fun huh?" his massive furry arm wrapped itself around the manderville's waist as he was pulled into a quick fuzzy kiss with the tiger. "but ya did just dust my girl. gotta avenger her ya know, call it a...pokkenger's promise."

the sound of a drill whirring to life suddenly erupted between them as kaz's free hand suddenly glowed to life and an orange and black striped drill formed around it as he gripped the man tightly and drove the drill run into his gut. that smile of his now turned into a blood crazed grin belonging to a predator looking at his fresh kill.

Relief washes over her and nearly brings a tear to her eye when Kazimir pulls her into an embrace. His warmth helps drown her worries and she sighs into the denseness of his fur. He pats her head and she's thankful for it and thankful that he'd forgiven her.[break][break]

But all of a sudden she's distracted and the same man she had just obliterated was back, and he was addressing her specifically. Her eyes narrow as she struggles to place the familiarity of his voice and mannerisms. [break][break]

And then she pulls away from Kazimir's hug only to be swept into the stranger's arms. She blushes, unsure what to make of this situation and what he was saying. She opens her mouth to object and address him, only to be interrupted with lips pressed against hers.[break][break]

"Bald--!"[break][break]

Her body tenses as her hands find purchase on his chest. The last thing she sees is his smile and Kazimir's face upside down watching in horror as she gets DRAGON HAMMERED into the ground. [break][break]

Stormy's screen goes black as her avatar dies, and she sits back in her seat in the real world, stunned. [break][break]

She respawns in the nearest city, still flabbergasted.

As the man stood back up from the german suplex he had just done, he noticed an achievement appear on his screen, indicating his first PvP kill. That wasn't how he had planned to acquire it, but the deed was done. As Manderville was about to apologize to the tiger that had accompanied Stormy, he noticed they were now close to each other. And he was closing the distance even more, while naming him by name.[break][break]

A look of confusion could be seen upon the bearded face of the avatar. Who could be hiding under this amount of orange fur reminiscent of an Arcanine or Tony the Tiger? "Indeed, this be a small world. I knew Stormy ever since I became a Gym trainer and we... helped each other in a way. But might I ask who-"[break][break]

That smile. That damned smile. An augur of something bad coming. His speech was a hint of what was to come, about them being the only ones having fun and that it wasn't fair. Suddenly, the furry's arm wrapped around his digital waist, lifting him slightly and making his sunglasses fall upon the ground. "Oh gods, n-"[break][break]

And this was how Balder kissed an animal for the first time in his life. It was digital yes, and against his will, but the facts remain the same. As the tiger pulled his head back, he mentioned "His girl" and... Pokkenger's promise? "Oh you got to be kidding me, it was yo-" His sentence got interrupted, yet again, by the sound of a drill. Manderville looked down, only to see the tip of the object before it penetrated his body.[break][break]

After some intense screams of pain, the man's body dissolved into data once more. Before getting reconstructed almost immediately at the town nearby. And coincidentally, appearing behind his first kill. As he appeared, Manderville spitted an orange ball of fur on the ball, courtesy of the previous kiss. He proceeded to re-equip his "clothes" before advancing and embracing Weather girl from behind. "I'll be honest with you Stormy, I didn't expect you to meet you back here. And sorry for the kill, but I do believe you deserved it for randomly killing me. So... You're dating Pokkenger now?"

as the body of the sun avatar's...avatar faded away kazimir brought the back of his hand to wipe his lips off. a motion familiar only with muscle memory as he knew there was nothing really there but..it sure felt real. "didn't expect our first kiss to be so...bloody. wonder if i could do it again irl..." he then opened up his menu and scrolled down his friends list to see stormy's name pop up and press it to read up on where on the map she ended up. close enough that he could just walk there or wait for her but...he did feel bad for her suddenly getting axed like that so with a simple button press he was suddenly warped away to her location in a beam of light.

"hey stormy! i avenged your honor my-" as he found himself in the starting area and spotted stormy he was about to proclaim his chivalry in defeating the guy who pked her until he saw the guy who pked her hugging her. well, that was awkward timing. Panic makes her body tense up as she gasps, the wind being squeezed out of her as strong arms pull her in tight for a warm hug. Stormy tilts her face, cheek brushing the fabric of his shirt as she glances up to see the familiar face of the man who had just killed her. Her face pales before heating up to a bright red at his comment.[break][break]

And, just as she's stuttering and gasping to come up with something to say, to deny that she's dating Kazimir, the Pokkenger comes out of nowhere after having warping to her location.[break][break]

"I-- uhh, I'm not? We aren't-- dating... no."[break][break]

She hesitates as she makes eye contact with Kazimir, her cheeks burning even brighter. [break][break]

Stormy pulls out of Balder's arms and clears her throat, smoothing her outfit and appearing out of place and incredibly awkward and confused. She glances at her feet.[break][break]

"It-- this isn't what it looks like," she finally gasps, biting her lip. "Yes, umm. We do know each other, yes. We.. do."[break][break]

Why is she so flustered? She wants to rejoin Kazimir but after Balder's comment she feels like that isn't a good idea either.

Suddenly, a notification appeared on Manderville's hud, making him frown. "Shit. Seems like time's up for me." The man advanced towards the couple, placing a hand on the girl's head and rubbing it gently. "You're free to love who you want you know? Live as you see fit and don't let others stop you." He then looked at Tony the tiger. "You need to be more careful about your identity man. Also, I'm calling you Tony the Tiger from now on. Make sure the little ball of fire right here stays unharmed alright? She has a tendency to get involved with lots of problems..."[break][break]

On this note, the man backed away from them to let them be alone. "Next time I see you guys, it's gonna be in the real world. And hopefully, not with the crown still after my steely ass. See you next time!" With a flick of his wrist, a menu appeared on his display and he proceeded to log out of the game. Sadly, due to certain circumstances, he was unable to play it afterwards.
